Several years ago I purchased an Audi Q5 from Audi North Atlanta, a car/ride I thoroughly enjoyed! I religiously brought my Audi Q5 to Audi North Atlanta for it's routine maintenance, it's milestone maintenance, recalls etc. Unfortunately I've had my Q5 in for several "recall" repairs including a fuel pump seal recall repair. During this fuel pump seal visit, Audi North Atlanta recommended no other repairs giving me a 100 point inspection checklist stating everything was fine. Only two months later I received a second Audi recall letter stating that I needed to have the faulty air bags replaced. I thought that the German's were the best engineers ever!? Between the two visits my extended warranty expired and when I brought the car back for the airbag replacement they told me I needed two head gasket replacements, an oil; pan seal replacement and a bunch of suspension arm bushings for like $3K. I dig out the 100 point inspection from the last visit two months before and ask the dealership how they missed all this stuff, when under warranty? The answer is of course that they didn't miss those items, they simply didn't tell me the truth because they didn't want to do the needed repairs under warranty. Shocked at the cost of these repairs, I researched and met Austin at Import. I brought the vehicle in for inspection and quote. Austin was honest and indicated that I didn't need the bushings and Import's quotes for the seals were about half Audi North Atlanta's. Between saving me the unnecessary suggested repairs and the half cost of the needed repairs I saved over $2,000. Net of all this - Audi North Atlanta is a bunch of dis-honest thieves, do yourself a favor don't pay top dollar for needed repairs and "fake repairs" trust in Import Auto and Austin. My daughter now drives the Q5 and had an accident recently. I purposefully sent the car to Import/Austin because I know they will be honest, will perform only necessary work and necessary work will be performed with integrity and top quality. Austin helped work with us through the laborious negotiation with the other drivers insurance and actually mitigated the additional amounts directly with them so I didn't have to get involved. I received the Q5 back from the shop and it looked better and newer than before thanks to Import Auto! When you read this review understand that I am a procurement director by profession, I've dealt with thousands of companies and salesmen throughout my career, I am naturally skeptical about auto repair and suppliers in general. Import and Austin specifically have earned by business. As long as I live in Atlanta and Import is open they will get all my repair and maintenance business - they've earned this five star review and all my repair/maintenance and collision business. It's a cynical world but you can trust these people.
